EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) is an
insulating wall cladding system for new or existing buildings. It
may be used over timber framing, reinforced masonry or concrete
substrates.
The insulation sheets are square
edged and 24000mm long, 1200 wide and 40, 60, 75 or 90mm thick.
The Class “H” expanded (EPS) white polystyrene foam has an
approximate density 24kg/m2 and is manufactured to comply with the
requirements of AS 1366, Part 3.
Over Class “H” EPS, an
alkali-resistant glass-five woven mesh is used for domestic and
light commercial applications.
EPS has a remarkably high “R”
value compared with most other insulating materials used in
similar applications. The EPS ((H Grade panel) with fiberglass
mesh and coated with JPS Coatings EPS Render give the following
value to the appropriate panel:
40mm panel 1.40 R Value
60mm Panel 1.90 R Value
75mm Panel 2.40 R Value
Heritage recommends JPS Render
coatings be used in conjunction with EPS. For an architectural
finish to your rendered property, see our page on Facades and
Mouldings.
